A few years ago, Activated Charcoal became a very popular product for anything beauty-related. I've heard many amazing things about its properties as a whitening agent for the teeth, so when Influenster sent me a Voxbox with this toothpaste in it a few months back, I knew I had to try it out.

What is Activated Charcoal?

If you didn't know, activated charcoal is a really mild, black powder that can come from different natural sources, such as wood, coconut shells, sawdust, or peats.  This "carbon" gets activated because it is processed under very high temperatures.  The thing about activated charcoal is that since the human body doesn't really process this carbon, it can stick to toxins and other agents to help the body get rid of anything unwanted.

This black powder can have really a lot of benefits for the skin, teeth, and overall health. Some people like to use it as a mask to remove any toxins or impurities that may be laying on the skin, other people like to make soaps with it to help the body remove all of the bad things, but it's a very popular ingredient for teeth whitening.

Hello Products

Hello Products are a very small, independent company made in the USA that offers a wide range of products directed to oral health. The great thing about this company is that is cruelty-free and despite the fact that the toothpaste comes in a plastic tube, the box is made with recycled and sustainable bamboo and stevia materials. They are a thoughtful brand, with responsibly sourced ingredients and materials which is something very important to me.

This post is in no way sponsored (I wish!) but I just wanted to be clear on who they are and what they do before I start with the review of their toothpaste.

THE REVIEW

I was very intrigued over how this Hello Activated Charcoal With Fresh Mint + Coconut Oil toothpaste was actually going to work because I've never tried anything like it. Retails for 6$ and it has 4.0OZ (113gr) of product.

The first impression that I had when I first opened was that their box was very pretty and their packaging even tho it was plastic (I assume that it is recycled plastic) it was very sleek and black in color which to me was very interesting. If I see this product on a shelf in a store, it would instantly draw my attention to it because black is not a common color you see in oral health products.

The first time I tried, I noticed that it has a very different taste to an average toothpaste. Stevia has a very particular flavor and if you're not used to it you can distinguish it right away. It's not unpleasant, is actually a normal flavor but yes, it's different from what I tried in the past. My 2-year-old boy didn't like the flavor at all, just to you know.

The toothpaste itself is black, which makes it very weird when you're brushing your teeth because you'll see all of your mouth black, even your teeth and when you spit it out, everything is black. It's easily removable tho, but the black stains on the sink are really annoying. It's best to remove them as soon as they get there because if not, they will make your sink look veeeeery dirty.

Talking about the results, I started seeing results after a month of use. It definitely made my teeth wither but not like in a very big way. They were one or two shades whiter after I finished the toothpaste, which tells me that with its constant use, you will definitely have whiter teeth over time.

Even tho is quite messy, I really liked this toothpaste and it did actually work, which is what we really want, right? It's not expensive at all and the idea of supporting a small and sustainable company is something that I always aim to. The staining part was really annoying but I think it's still worth it.

This past month I received complimentary from Influenster this box that had me so excited I couldn't even hide it. I have been a follower from Kat Von D since Miami Ink days, and when she had her own makeup brand I was so excited, not only because I knew who she was and what she was like, but that her brand is ethical and vegan is just too good! So definitely this box was a highlight for myself.

The #StuddedKissCreme lipsticks are basically a new relaunch from their old Studded Kiss formula, the only difference is that they improved this formula to be more soft and long lasting, like their liquid lipsticks but in "crème" form. Basically the best from both worlds: The softness from the cream lipstick and the long lasting power from their liquid lipsticks.

I also NEED to talk about the shade range, before giving you my thoughts on this. The shade range is amazing, to be honest. You can find a really good color for you, and the white one seems good for anything! That's one of my favorite things from her brand: they don't stand that lipstick only needs to be used as a lipstick, for example, but that you can use it as an eyeliner, or whatever use you can come up with. Anyways, as I was saying. there are 40 colors in this range, from white to a deep green. You can absolutely find a shade that will suit you, for sure.

THE REVIEW

This lipstick claims to be "The 1st Vegan, high-pigment matte lipstick with crazy-comfortable longwear". To be honest, it took me a little while to figure out what was the "new" thing about this lipstick. Basically is a new formula from their old studded kiss lipsticks AAAND it kind of turns "from satin to matte".

Honestly, it is very comfortable to wear, because it's not drying at all, but you can actually feel that you have lipstick on your lips. Also, after a while it does goes from satin to matte, but actually takes A LOT of time. In the most times I've worn  this, it fades before turning "matte and longlasting". Usually after I eat something this lipstick is gone.

Talking about Longlasting Power, the L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Liquid Lipsticks are the winners in staying on the lips after eating ANYTHING, therefore, in my opinion, these Kat Von D's #StuddedKissCreme Lipsticks are not longlasting at all.

Overall I really enjoy the formula, the texture, the smell (vanilla) and I've been using this lipstick daily because it's great, but I do disagree with their claim to be long lasting.Other than that, this lipstick has honestly became an staple in my makeup bag.

Last month I received two boxes complimentary from influenster and this is one of those.
I was lucky enough to receive this box full of this brand and system that claims to protect and nourish your hair.

The first impression that I've got when I opened these products was that they smelled very professional. You know the smell you get when you enter a hair salon? These products smell very professional and nice, obviously, but the scent is not overpowering which is what I love.

After that, I tried the products and oooh my god. I didn't knew how rough was my hair until I tried this hairline. At first I used the Shampoo and Conditioner, they leaved my hair feeling very soft and sleek. Very manageable and hydrated. That caught my attention for sure.

Then I used the Day Mask and ooh my god. That was literally the best thing that I've put on my hair for MONTHS. Leaves my hair very soft and without any tangles while also protecting my hair against my heat tools. Even though the mask its pretty thick it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy, actually it makes it look healthy and glowing.

I also tried the Night Mask and was delighted with it, specially on my recent trip to the beach, it was perfect to keep my hair nice, soft and tangle free.

This is the best hair care line I've ever tried. My sister has curly, rough and thick rebel hair so I gave her this product so she can try it and also I could see how this worked with more difficult hair, and she loved it. She was so in love with her hair and that never happens. She used the whole system and then she straightened her hair and was so happy because it lasted a lot longer than what normally would last.

Overall, I absolutely love this product. I wouldn't adopt it as my "everyday shampoo" because I don't have my hair in really bad condition, but definitely will use on special occasions or probably one time a week. Its really great and worth every single penny.

Have you tried? What are your thoughts? Leave them in the comments below!

Desodorante Secret Clinical Strenght Clear Gel // $7.99

Aún no los he probado PERO EL OLOR ES LO MEJOOOR..

Toallitas desmaquillantes Simple Skincare Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes // $5.99 - $7.99

This month I recieved from Influenster a new BoxVox with products complimentary for testing purposes. This box was made for the "Wedding Season" with a few products that you  might find handy to have with you. I have tried some of this products so you will have a small first opinion on some of them. Let's get started! :)

Ardell Lashes #117 // $5.00

When I saw that this box had included false eyelashes I was excited to try them because I've never tried Ardell lashes, but when I opened my box I wasn't too happy about the style that I recieved. I've learned in my short experience with lashes that in my eyes, the natural the better. This ones are very dramatic and I'm not sure how they will look in my eyes, but when I try them I will definitely do a blogpost about it. Also, the lashes come with eyelash glue which makes it very handy.

Secret Clinical Strenght Clear Gel // $7.99

The first thing I noticed about this are the scent and the size. The scent is called "Ooh-la-la lavender" and smells very sweet and nice. I thought at first that it was a travel size deodorant, but in the box they claim to be "ACTUAL CANISTER SIZE" which is a little bit dissapointing. It only has 0.5 oz of product and since it's a gel it probably won't last long. It smells good but the scent doesn't last all day, but that doesn't mean that you will have bad odor in your armpits. The box says you should use it at night "to take advantage of your body's natural temperature variations". The downside about it, at least for me is that has "Aluminum zirconium octachlorodyfrex gly"as active ingredient that acts as antiperspirant and I'm not really down for it. I rather more natural deodorants that will not cause me cancer or anything.

Pantene Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner // $4.99

I haven't tried this yet, but OH MY GOD, I absolutely love the scent. For me is like one of the best thingss eveer. They are travel size and claim to do an "Intense Hydration" in your hair. Definitely will post about it when I try them.

Simple Skincare Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes // $5.99 - $7.99

I have tried this a few times this past week, and I like them. They remove makeup very easily, even waterproof mascara and matte liquid lipsticks that you may only get off with oil. They are nice and don't have any smell which is great for sensitive skin. I think they might be a little bit expensive since the packaging only has 25 wipes but overall, this are good.

PerfectDetails.com

This box also includes a 15% discount coupon for Bridal Accessories at Perfect Details webpage in any of their products. I won't probabbly ever use this coupon but it's a nice thing that they added this to the box.

Did you recieved this box? Have your tried any of this products? Give me your thoughts in the comments below :)

On the last days of november, Influenster told me that I was selected to try this new deodorant that they were really excited to share with us  and so was I! Living in a third world like Venezuela is, right now is difficult to get your hands in deodorant (yep! we are THAT BAD) without doing at least to hours of lines so of course I was super excited.

Also, I was really excited to recieve this, because my last Influenster's VoxBox was kind of mid of last year.

Back to the deodorant, to be honest with you, I've never tried spray deodorant before (weird, I know!!) and I don't really know why, I just always prefered the others.. (I must have been very traumatized by all that 'damage to the ozone' thing) Spray deodorant are comfortable to wear and well... You know, this is a deodorant and it does what it says it does: It's anti-perspirant and smells divine! I think the smell is 'Fresh Energy' and it smells very fresh,, almost like the blue batiste dry shampoo!  I wasn't able to try it on the gym because, let's face it: Going everyday to the gyms wasn't on my 'December Bucket list'... so yeah. And of course, I didn't prove the '48hr' thing, because, you know, I take showers everyday... but definitely smells amazing and do its job.

_____________________________________________________________________________

My #CampusVoxBox is finally here and now that I have this products in my hands I can honestly talk about them!

I was so happy when I recieved these! I think that I liked very  much all of the products that were on this box and I was very impressed with the size of them... I was not expecting full size of products but THEY ARE! Let's get down to what was on the #CampusVoxBox

1. JERGENS Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse ($12.99): I haven't tried this because I am not a fan of fake tan, but probabbly at some point in the summer I will try it.

2. St. Ives Blemush Control Apricot Scrub ($3.99 - $4.79): This thing is SO GOOD that I will dedicate its own blog post soon! So keep an eye on that.

3. L'oreal Paris Advanced Straight System ($4.99 each): This ones sadly were samples and I haven't tried them yet.

4. Softlips Cube ($3.49): This lipbalm is really good. Since I have the EOS one and this one, I would like to dedicate a post on compairing them both, 'cause despite the fact that they follow the same "idea" they are not the same on the lips.

5. Sour Punch Rainbow Straws ($1.59) & Sour Punch Punchies ($1.29): This is the first time I tried this candy and I must say that I ate those Punchies as soon as I opened them, but the Rainbow Straws eh... I very disliked the flavor.
