e.l.f.Studio HD Mattifying Cream Foundation

ENGLISH

Hello, dear people! Happy Thursday! We are almost ending the week, in fact we are amost ending June and since I started my blog I've only put a few posts, i have short time and sometimes I can't put the ideas togheter to write a post. My bad! I promise that from now on I will try to post something at least weekly. *fingers crossed*

Today, or, actually, tonight, I am bringing to you a new post about a foundation. Yes, I know that my last post was a review about a foundation, but if you read my review on that, you'll see that it was really a bad one, so my search for a new foundation is still ON!

E.L.F released a few months ago a new foundation called HD MAttifying Cream Foundation and it's in their Studio Line (which I personally think it's the best one they got) and it claims to be a foundation to mattify the skin (as the name says) it's oil free and lightweight, making it perfect to every skin type, from normal to oily.

This is a foundation that goes from cream to powder, it minimizes the fine lines of the face and leaves a matte effect on the skin. Really this foundation do what it says that does, at least with me, of course, I don't use it on it's own, I ALWAYS, and I repeat, always use a compact powder or a translucent loose powder to set it on my face.

I feel like this foundation do on me what it claims to do. After I set it with the powder it can stay on all day, despite the heat from Caracas, and everything that implies living in a different state that you study. It doesnt transfer to clothes, it dryes very fast on the skin and even tho it's a cream foundation it doesn't feel oily at all! it covers very well the acne scars and you can blend it wonderfully.

I just have one problem with this foundation: The colour range it's not very wide. I think there's only like four or six different tones. When I brought it, I did it online and I wasn't sure to pick up the color Sand or the Buff one, but I ended up with Sand because I thought that Buff was too dark for me. I have a yellow undertone and I am kind of medium tone. When I first applied this color to my face (Sand) it was quite light for me, but when I started to buff the foundation on my face and applied the powder and blush it was more close to my skin tone. I feel like if I combine Buff with Sand it would be my perfect color. Maybe I'll be purchasing the Buff one to try out.

The thing about the aplication: The foundation has a sponge under the actual foundation. Personally I haven't used it, but the reviews I have read about it aren't very nice, I think that it's better to apply with a Stipple Brush or a foundation brush. I use the Custom Coverage Buffing Brush from Eco Tools (maybe a review? let me know in the coments!) and it works perfectly! The Buffing Brush from Real Techniques it's actually quite good too!

I do recoment this fooundation if you have combination or oily skin, it really does what it says (obviously it's not a 100% matte finish, but it's quite close) and at least on me, it last all day long!
