Favorite $3 Makeup Brushes from eBay!
So, I had this idea on my mind that I would do kind of like a roundup post talking about my favourite brushes of this year, but that idea went down the drain after I recently purchased several brushes that have become my favourites to use since I got them. So, instead, here's my list of my favorite makeup brushes that I've used non stop this month of december and past november.
FLAT FOUNDATION BRUSH (eBay $2 brush!)
I've talked about this brush several times before in my blog, because is under $2!!!! It's crazy, right? I got it off from eBay to try and see how it will perform, since it was exrtremely cheap. And while I used it it was my fav, performed really well but I have to say that as soon as I got my Ecotools Complexion Buffer Brush I left this one behind.
HOWEVER, a few weeks back I needed to apply my foundation and my Ecotool's one was reeeeeeallly dirty and I didn't feel like washing it, so I went to my bag of brushes and pulled out this gem from it and my first reaction after I used it was: "OMG, why did I stopped using this the first time?"
It's waaaaay softer than the ecotools one, (maybe because it was clean and had no product build up!) but is kind of like the bristles are softer and move around easily which makes it very easy to use and the foundation looks blended nicely. I think it's been over a year since I got it, and I have to say that it hasn't shed once! It feels nice on my tiny hands, its easy to clean and its super soft. I reaally like it, and for the price I pay for it, I will never complain.
I made a promise to myself that I am not going to buy any more brushes in 2020 because the huge amout that I have is ridiculous, but if I was going to purchase anything new, I would definitely buy more brushes from this line. Here's the link if any of you are interested in purchasing it, I have brought many times with this seller and I haven't had any issues so far.
FLUFFY BLENDING BRUSH (under $1,50!!!)
I bought this from the same seller than the last one on eBay. Since the first one was so nice I decided to go on and try for an eyeshadow brush. I needed to buy a small pointed but also fluffly brush and when I saw this I was like, "this might work!"
I thought it was smaller, which is what I was intended to buy it for, but it turns out that it was bigger that what I was expecting. I bought two of this thinking they were perfect for what I needed, so when they arrived, I had to ask myself "what could I use this for?"
Turns out that this brush is great for blending eyeshadow on the crease, buut it's also amazing (and my favorite!) for blending concealer under the eye area. It's so soft, not spiky at all and blends the concealer nicely, to give it a natural look. I took this trick of blending concealer with an eyeshadow brush out of Katie Jane Hughes, shes amazing and I'm always trying the techniques that she talks about. Here's also the link for this Fluffy Makeup Brush if you'd like to purchase it (it's the number #6).
FACE PAINT BRUSH
I talked a few years back about how I bought a set of makeup brushes off on eBay thinking they were no brand, and when they arrived it had "Zoeva" named all over the brushes. The set was a replica/fake version of the real Zoeva brushes, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to share this because I do not support rip-offs or fakes from any brand, but this has been legit my go to brush for applying cream contour and cream blush.
This is a brush that is flat on both sides with a dense interior and flat top. It's really soft and blends cream products so easily. At first I thought that it was only meant for powder products, but I keep using it with cream products and works wonderfully. It hasn't shed at all, is so soft that blends everything easy leaving a natural look. When I use it, the hairs don't get stained with products which I really like.
I can't find the set that I bought the first time, but probably the real deal Zoeva Face Paint Brush must be even better, if youre interested, you can find it here.
I love doing "Shop My Stash" kind of thing where I try to test out or use different products in different ways. Maybe this type of posts will be common here in the future.
